Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Chief Avtar Singh Makkar had to face an embarrassment when an employee of SGPC threw his resignation letter on his (Makkar) face, while he was addressing a press conference in Teja Singh Samundari Hall.
The employee identified as Ramandeep Singh was allegedly annoyed due to the recent decisions taken by the SGPC. Task Force of SGPC immediately swung into action and agitating employee was forcibly taken out of the Hall, sources told punjabtribune.co
As the SGPC president termed the Panj Pyara’s “gurmata” demanding stepping down of jathedars (priests) of the five Takhts as invalid, SGPC employee Ramandeep Singh got annoyed and threw his resignation on his face.
Sources told that the SGPC didn’t accept his resignation, but dismissed him.
