The former DSGMC general secretary and serving legislator Manjinder Singh Sirsa today slapped genocide culprit Yashpal “Singh”, one of the two held guilty by the Court on November 14, when the duo guilty culprits were being taken to the lock up in Patiala House Court. Notably, the duo genocide culprits namely Naresh Sherawat and Yashpal “Singh” were produced today as the Court conducted a debate on quantum of punishment to be addressed to them.

Sources have informed that the prosecution demanded the death sentence for the duo culprits as they have been held guilty under various sections including 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 395 (robbery) and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of the Indian Penal Code.
