Ludhiana: Punjab police has unleashed massive breakdown on sikh activists in punjab. As per the information available with the Sikh Siyasat News the Punjab police has already registered various leaders of Bandi Singhs Rihai Sangharsh Committee from various places across punjab.
By arresting key Sikh leaders, Punjab Police today did not allow Sikh Sangat to hold the march which was planned from Ajnala town to Sri Akal Takht Sahib in support of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa who is on hunger strike since January 16 for release of Sikh political prisoners. Those arrested include Sangharsh Committee convenor Gurdeep Singh Bathinda, Damdami Taksal Ajnala chief Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala, SGPC member and Akali Dal Panch Pardhani leader Bhai Kulvir Singh Barapind, Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, Jasvir Singh Khandoor, United Akali Dal (UAD) leader Mohkam Singh and Wassan Singh Zafarwal, Baba Avtar Singh Sadhanwala (Faridkot), Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad, Karaj Singh and Gurmukh Singh Sandhu (AISSF Peer Mohammad), Daler Singh Doad (SSF Mehta) and others (Sadiq and Faridkot), Gursewak Singh and Manwinder Singh Giaspura (Ludhiana).
SSN has reports that many other Sikh activists are also detained by the Punjab police for various parts of Punjab.
Police prevents Sikh sangat to take out Marches to Hassanpur:
Police also prevented Sikh activists from taking out ‘support marches’ to village Hassanpur. Sources said that Sikh sangat was to take out marches to Hassanpur from Kapurthala, Ajnala, Ludhiana, Kala Sanghain and Faridkot.
Paramilitary deployed near Bapu Surat Singh’s house:
Meanwhile the administration has deployed paramilitary force around Bapu Surat Singh’s house and no one is allowed to go inside his house. Sources present at Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa house said that the situation was very tense. Police is not allowing anyone to go come inside Bapu Surat Singh’s house while anyone who leaves the house is being arrested by the police. VIA Sikh Siyasat News
