SHAHEED BHAI KAMALJEET SINGH JI (SUNAM) was a Gursikh of very high calibre and a fully devoted Sikh. He was serving as a member of twenty-one member executive committee of Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Seva Dal (Reg) Sangrur. Bhai Sahib took an active role in religious programs held throughout Punjab with complete dedication and at numerous times, he was also included in the Panj Pyare at Amrit Sanchaars held in Sangrur.
Bhai Kamaljeet Singh was killed on 17 May 2007 in cold blood by followers of Ram Rahim. The incident took place when mobs of Dera Jhoota Sauda attacked the Sikh sangat on their way back from Takht Sri Damdama Sahib.
On 1 October 2013, a Sangrur based local court acquitted over a dozen followers of the Dera Jhoota Sauda who were involved in killing Bhai Kamaljeet Singh. Additional Sessions Judge Varinder Aggarwal announced the acquittal of 14 dera followers for lack of evidence.
SHAHEED BHAI BALKAR SINGH JI (JAMARAYE) was a hard working, honourable and devoted Sikh man.
On 25 June 2008, during the visit of Dera Jhoota Sauda chieft Ram Rahim Singh to Nirmal Lifestyle mall in suburban Mulund, his personal bodyguards fired at a crowd Sikhs in which Bhai Balkar Singh was killed. The whole incident was caught on CCTV ad widely circulated.
On 10 October 2011 a session court in Mumbai acquitted 14 members of Dera Jhoota Sauda of killing Bhai Balkar Singh.
SHAHEED BHAI HARMANDIR SINGH JI (DABWALI) was a devoted and honourable Sikh who served his family, community and humanity in any way possible. Bhai Sahib would regularly engage in Seva and attend Smagams in his locality and beyond.
On 18 July 2008 at Mandi Dabwali, a small number of Sikhs including Bhai Harmandir Singh were holding a peaceful protest against the corrupt practices of Dera Jhoota Sauda at an event held by them in Mandi Dabwali. The Sikhs were ambushed by large numbers of Dera supporters who brutally killed Bhai Sahib by stoning him to death.
The Police booked five Dera supporters for the murder of Bhai Harmandir Singh and seven Sikhs for allegedly damaging Dera supporters property. In July 2013, a Sirsa court sentenced the Sikhs to ten years imprisonment for the damage.
On 10 October 2013, a Sirsa court acquitted five Dera Jhoota Sauda followers of the murder of Bhai Harmandir Singh.
