A Singh investigated whether any Punjabi singers showed remorse to the sacrilege committed against Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in the Malwa region of Punjab. To his surprise, he found that not even 1 of the popular singers posted anything in regards to the sacrilege. It shows singers are only worried about selling their songs but not about the Sikh community or Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Water canons were used just early morning to break the crowd at Kotakpura by police. Sikh sangat were protesting the sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. 122 angs of Guru Sahib were found on a street in the village. A few months back, a Saroop of Guru Sahib was stolen from a Gurdwara Sahib in a nearby village by miscreants.
All Sikh parcharaks including Baba Dhadrianwale, Bhai Panthpreet Singh and Sarabjit Singh Dhunda were arrested by police. A curfew is currently in place at Kotakpura.
The police have attempted to break the crowds of peaceful protests related to sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
14/10/15, 5am IST – This is the message of Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale minutes before masses of Police begun the arrest process to take away Sikh men, women, leaders and Parcharaks at 4:30am in the morning that arrests won’t stop the sangarsh.
Thousands started to court arrests early morning after very large numbers of police and CRPF surrounded Kotakpura. Sikh leaders were to be arrested to break the crowd.
Up to 8 Sikhs have been reported injured and currently a curfew is in place at Kotapura.
