Jammu: A mild clash reportedly took place between a group of Sikh youths and policemen in Rani Bagh area of Jammu after a police personnel removed posters related to “Ghallughara June 1984” day. The posters were being termed as “objectionable stuff” by the police and the media as the posters were carrying photo of Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.
As per information a group of Sikh youth objected to removal of posters by the police, which led to verbal altercation and mild scuffle. No one was hurt in the incident. via sikhsiyasat
The constable responsible for ripping the picture was made to apologize as he faced growing wrath of the Sikh youth.
Following this incident, Sikhs in large number also blocked the highway completely and installed an even larger board with picture of Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale and upcoming June 6 Shaheedi Smagam poster.
Sikh Sangat of Jammu sent a clear message that they will not allow any further atrocities and disrespect to shaheeds of the Panth.
