Pathankot: Fresh gunshots were heard at the Pathankot air force base in Punjab, where terrorists have launched an attack around 3.30 am today. The shots were heard as combing operations started and it is suspected that more terrorists are hiding on the premises, another terrorist has since been killed taking the death toll to five terrorists and three soldiers. Around half a dozen further army/air force personal have been admitted into army hospital where some are believed to be in critical condition.
The attack is suspected to have been carried out by the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Sources say the attackers were from Bhawalpur in Pakistan and were ordered to blow up the helicopters stationed at the base.

Update Audio Calls of Terrorist Intercepted
Indian Intelligence agencies had intercepted four phone calls made from the phone stolen from the Gurdaspur SP by members of the suicide mission connected to the Pathankot terror attack. From the four calls, three were made by the attackers to their Pakistan-based handlers, whilst one of the terrorists is believed to have called his mother in Punjab province of Punjab to seek her blessings. The mother responded by giving her blessings and telling him to eat well before carrying out his mission. According to media, these calls give clear indications that the attackers came from Pakistan, although the audio conversations have not yet been made public.
