June 10 1978 – Historical Hukamnama Issued from Sri Akal Takht Sahib ; Boycott the “Nakli Nirankari”

Following the 1978 Vaisakhi Massacre by the Nirankaris in Sri Amritsar, Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar issued a hukamnama calling for a total boycott of the pseudo-cult.  This is the hukamnama that asked Sikh Sangat to respond to anti-Sikh activities of the Nirankaris through all means

Below is a copy of the Hukamnama from Sri Akal Takhat Sahib on June 10, 1978, instructing all of the Khalsa panth to boycott the “Nakli Nirankari” (a.k.a. Narakdhari) movement and to undertake any and all efforts to prevent the spreading of the Nakli Nirankari propaganda. This was after the Shaheedi of 13 Singhs in the Vaisakhi 1978 Massacre by Nakli Nirankaris. This copy of the hukamnama appeared on the inside cover of Western Sikh Samachar from July 1978 (Edition No. 71) and underneath there is a quote from then Jathedar Singh Sahib Sadhu Singh Bhaura (Translated from Punjabi): “This is not an appeal, this is a hukam. By not following this, even the biggest of Sikh leaders cannot escape from being repremanded.”
