Update | Dhadrianwale Requests No Violence & No Politics | Akal Takht Press Note | Killing of Parcharak Bhai Bhupinder Singh | Dhadrianwale Assassination Attempt | 25.05.16
They have issued a press note from Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Amritsar that each party should refrain from giving statements against the other. In the attached video, Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale says it has been a week since the armed attack, but not once has he accused any single organisation or person for planning the attack, the authorities must do this. He has not issued any such statement against another party about this matter. If any organisation is indeed issuing statements, then Sri Akal Takht Sahib should speak to that specific organisation. Where the authorities are carrying out their investigation into the criminal matter, at the same time the Akal Takht should also do its own investigation into the religious matter of who was behind this unprecedented method of attack which has dishonoured the tradition of the ‘Chhabeel’.
Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa says even now they have killed his fellow Parcharak, but he is still in favour of maintaining peace and does not want to advocate any course of action which will lead to ‘Bhara Maroo Jang’, he has never been in favour of any such action and never will be. For seven days now he has maintained the same stance that the simple demand is for justice, for the real culprits to be brought forward. Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa said they have not shouted slogans, they have not conducted protests, they have not burned effigies or promoted any violence. Any party who gets involved in any such act will not be a part of the peaceful Sangharsh and should be assumed a trouble-maker attempting to disturb the peace and bring that blame onto Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa. He said people are humbly requested to refrain from creating derogatory edited images on social media. No one should take political mileage from this issue or divert it into a political matter. He said he has never supported any single political party before, and neither is it his intention to do so.
Like the Akali’s, the Congress and other political parties, leader of AAP Arvind Kejriwal also visited Parmeshar Dwar today to offer condolences and condemn the assassination attempt on Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa, which led to the Shaheedi of Parcharak Bhai Bhupinder Singh Ji.
