AMRITSAR SAHIB—To mark the 34th anniversary of June-1984 holocaust, the pro-Khalistan Sikh outfit Dal Khalsa has announced to take out a Holocaust Remembrance March on June 5. Beside it, the Dal Khalsa has given a call to the natives of holy city Amritsar Sahib for complete shutdown on June 6.
Sharing the development with media after attending meeting with the party men, Dal Khalsa spokesperson S. Kanwarpal Singh informed that the march would commence from Gurdwara Ranjit Avenue in the evening and culminate at Sri Akal Takht Sahib where an ‘Ardas’ would be performed in memory of martyrs.
He said that the pain of the deadly attack is fresh and the wounds of the attack still simmer. He also reiterated demand for an independent International probe into the killings of innocent pilgrims, SGPC employees and volunteers of Dharam Yudh Morcha by Indian army during June-1984 holocaust.
Giving a call for the Amritsar shutdown on 34th anniversary of June-1984 holocaust, Dal Khalsa leader said the call was meant to protest against the army assault, loot of invaluable manuscripts and artefacts from the Sikh Reference Library and to pay rich tributes to martyrs. He has urged all the sections of people residing in Amritsar Sahib to cooperate with their call.
Others who were present in the meet include Harpal Singh Cheema, Satnam Singh, Baldev Singh Sirsa, Jasvir Singh, Ranbir Singh, Paramjit Singh Tanda, and Amrik Singh Isru beside SYP head Paramjit Singh Mand.
