MOGA, Punjab—Another incident of beadbihas sent shocks across the Sikh Sangat.  As per emerging reports, the sacrilege took place at village Malke of Moga.

The incident took place late night on November 3.

 

Moga/ Faridkot: Another outrageous incident of beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib is reported from Malke village in Moga district. Village Malke is located near village Bargari and village Buraj Jawahar Singh Wala in Faridkot district. Residents of Malke village told (SSN) that they noticed the incident of beadbi around 4 am when they found that ripped Angs of Guru Granth Sahib were laying the the streets of the village.

Initial investigations reveal that this was another saroop of Guru Granth Sahib, whose initial page (that carries the name of the publisher) was found at village Bargari (in Faridkot district). The saroop was prepared by printers Chattar Singh and Jiwan Singh of Amritsar.

Soon after the news of beadbi spread out, Sikh pracharaks – including Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale, Bhai Panthpreet Singh, Giani Balwant Singh Nanadgarh, Bhai Harjinder Singh Majhi and Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala reached at village Malke. Senior police and civil officials also rushed to the village.

Administration proposed to send Angs of Guru Granth Sahib to Gujarat for forensic tests. As per information two Sikh representatives namely Advocate Simarjit Singh of Chandigarh and former Punjab State Electricity Board chairman Harinder Singh Brar, who hails from village Malke, would accompany the police party to Gujarat to supervise the forensic tests.

Sources said that the Sikh sangat had collected many Angs of Guru Granth Sahib from Malke village and such Angs won’t be sent for forensic tests. “Only those Angs that were not touched by the Sikh sangat or the villagers would be sent for forensic tests as other Angs might be carrying finger prints of villagers as they had collected those Angs.

The Gruesome incidents of beadbi of Guru Granth Shaib have shook the entire Sikh panth. Every Sikh feels deeply hurt over outrageous and repeated incidents of beadbi of Guru Granth Shaib.

Sikh sangat has served an ultimatum to the police and civil administration to find the culprits before November 08 and said that the Sikh sangat will be compelled to launch protests if the government and the police fails to find the culprits.

 

Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale, Bhai Panthpreet Singh, Bhai Harjinder Singh Majhi, Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala, Jathedar Balwant Singh Nandgarh amongst others have reached the site. There is now a heavy Police presence in the village.
